Supervision is essential for the work that we do. Not only does it help us to grow our skills, work through ethical dilemmas, and ensure that we are following best practice standards, it protects against burnout. The relationship between supervisee and supervisor is just as important as the relationship between client and therapist. I am here to support healers so that you are better able to show up for your clients.

LCSW/LCPC Supervision

Masters Level Social Workers working toward there LCSW in Illinois are required to engage in 3,000 hours of supervised clinical experience post-graduation. During that time, supervisees must receive a minimum of four hours per month of clinical supervision with a LCSW.

Whether you are looking for individual therapy or group supervision, I am here to provide a perspective that is unique to you and the clients you serve. My theoretical orientation is grounded in attachment work and I approach supervision from the same perspective as my work with clients. Central to our work together will be finding regulation in the midst of dysregulation, attunement to your clinical learning, and playfulness to balance right brain and left-brain processing.

Play Therapy / Theraplay® Supervision

Play Therapists working toward their Registered Play Therapist (RPT™) credential must undergo 35 hours of supervision provided by a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor (RPT-S™). These hours must be completed over a minimum of two (2) years and a maximum of seven (7) years, while also completing all necessary coursework, experience, and education for the credential. Of these 35 hours, 15 may be obtained through group supervision and 20 must be conducted through one-on one supervision.

Theraplay® supervision may be completed independently or concurrently with RPT supervision. Play therapy practitioners looking to obtain both credentials may double-dip by working with an RPT-S who is also a Certified Theraplay Supervisor. Theraplay requires eight (8) supervisions at each level of the three levels of certification: Foundational, Intermediate, and Certified.
